WELCOME TO LANGTOFT PRIMARY SCHOOL!
I am delighted that you have accepted the offer of a place for your child to join Langtoft Primary School in the Foundation Stage class in September 2024. On behalf of all the children, staff and governors I wish you and your child a very warm welcome as they begin their education with us. We are very excited about getting to know them.
Over the coming months we will be hosting a number of events including Stay and Play sessions plus an open evening:
Three Stay and Play sessions. The first of these is planned for Wednesday 12th June 10:30am-11:30am.
Your child will meet and play with their class teacher and other adults in the classroom. During this time there will be a presentation in the hall to share with you everything you need to know about getting ready for starting school in September.
The second and third Stay and Play sessions are planned for Wednesday 26th June 10:30am-11:30am and Friday 5th July 1:30pm-2:30pm. These sessions are for children only so you will drop-off and pick-up at the end of the session.
Monday 8th July – Parents are invited in to school to meet the class teacher who will provide further information about the Foundation Stage curriculum and what to expect during the year. There are two meetings at 3:30pm or 5:00pm.
August Booklets. At the beginning of the summer holidays, we post to your home a few booklets. One is for you to read with your child to remind them of what they did during their Stay and Play sessions. The others are for you to complete and return to school so that we have information from you about your child – after all, you know them better than anyone.
Wednesday 4th September 2024. The class teacher will call you to chat about any last-minute worries or questions you may have.
Thursday 5th September. Your child starts school full-time. How exciting!
